Using camouflage fishing shirts to catch more mullet during the migration period in Florida, USA

 Mullet refers to a type of fish commonly found in ocean and estuary areas. They are widely distributed along the Atlantic coast, Gulf of Mexico coast, and Pacific coast of the United States. In Florida, where I live, mullet resources are the most abundant. There's a spot near my home where the river meets the sea, and it's teeming with fish. I often go fishing there during this season. However, the coastal sunlight means I need a long  sleeve fishing shirt. You might wonder why I don't just wear a short-sleeve one instead. Long sleeves fishing shirt   provide better protection against UV rays, preventing sunburn. The wind flows better under long sleeves, keeping you cooler.

If you have fishing experience, you know that fish are very sensitive to movement and color. If you wear a solid-colored fishing shirt, the fish will notice the color change by the water when you cast your net. They will turn in the opposite direction and flee, always wary of fishermen. Unless you have excellent net-casting skills, wearing a shirt that doesn't blend in well can lead to failure.

I happen to be looking to buy a fishing shirt, and I have a great idea inspired by the trees and grass along the coast. Why not get a camouflage shirt that matches the colors of the coastal vegetation? That way, when I wear it, the mullet won't be startled by my movements or net casting from the shore because I'll blend into the background they see underwater.

So, I searched on Amazon for a while and found a camo pattern that closely matches the coastal trees. I chose the LOOGU camo fishing shirt, which features their unique "Super Tree Camo" pattern. For added effect, I also got a hat with the same pattern. I'm excited to see how well this camouflage works for fishing. On YouTube, I discussed this idea with other anglers. However, due to the weather, many mullet were hiding when I did my test. I didn't see any swimming in the current. I'll try again on a cooler day near the aquatic plants.
